Saleve: Le Coin-La Croisette (50.4km, 1,247m elevation)

The perfect loop morning loop, easily reachable from central Geneva and a popular one with local cyclists. Climbing steadily out of the city, the road passes through Le Coin before the road starts to wind its way up to reach the Col de La Croisette. Reward yourself with a coffee and a view before the long descent down around the back of Salève mountain, through several small alpine towns turning back towards Geneva – with Lac Leman stretching out in front of you – to continue the long steady descent home.

Tour of Lake Geneva - 175km - 7 hours

If you are after a long day in the saddle, they do not get much better than this. 170kms plus of majestic beauty, great roads, respectful drivers and interesting terrain. The only problem is working out how to resist the continual urge to stop for photographs or detour up one of the amazing near by climbs.

Our advice: take all the photo's you want, this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Keep the Cols for another day, today the lake is your muse, do her justice.
