BYRON BAYS BEST ROAD CYCLING ROUTES

LOOP TO MULLUMBIMBY (32.2 km) - 1.5 Hour Route

If you wish to explore more of Byron's remote beauty, jump on your bike and head inland towards Mullumbimby.

The ride is mostly flat until you turn left into Coolamon Scenic Drive and start the 4.5km the climb to Coorabell. This is stunning country, tropical rainforest with views back over hinterland towns all the way to the coast.

This is a ride that brings you closer to nature and you'll discover why so many of people visited Bryon coast in the late 60's and decide to never leave.

BYRON TO BALLINA LOOP (86.35 km)- 3.5 Hour Route

This route has a total elevation gain of 1266 meters, so it will be sure to test your endurance, prepare yourself for a challenge. We recommend cooling off by taking a plunge in the ocean once you have made it to Ballina. Have fun and safe cycling!

BYRON TO BROOKLET LOOP (89.62) - 4 Hour Route

The 90kms and 1200 meters of elevation to come, the 20km ride south to Lennox Head is a nice warm-up for the climbing to come. Heading west from famed surf spots, the road starts to go up as you head in the direction of picturesque Booklet and historic village of Newrybar.

Ride back to Bryon is a stunning sequence of valley descents and punchy climbs. While chasing Strava segments my no sit comfortably with the soul cycling ethos, there are plenty on this ride, including the Bryon Light House Climb.
